Run to Remember
On Saturday, May 14, 2011, Brian Bruns, will embark on a 100 mile running journey through the Florida Keys as a participant in the Keys 100 Ultramarathon. As part of this physical challenge, Bruns – a Coast Guard Lieutenant stationed in Portsmouth, VA – hopes to also bring awareness and help raise funds for the Coast Guard Foundation’s Fallen Heroes Scholarship Fund. The Fallen Heroes Scholarship Fund was established in 2005 to provide college scholarships to the children of Coast Guard men and women who have died in the line of duty.
