Hello USCG Runners,
I just joined the club today and I am interested in finding out about any marathon race participation there might be. A year ago, while running the Marine Corp. Marathon in Wash. DC, I met some CG members. Is the team/club planning anything in the future? Is there a CG Marathon team?
Thank you,
Gary Belford
Gary,
Check out the forum here on runuscg.org for more on races that people may be participating in. The National Capital Chapter is growing for people who live in the D.C. area, and there is a good chance a few members would be interested in running the race. Also, the president of the National Capital, Brandon Earhart is trying to sell his spot in the Marathon. You can see his posting in the forum, in the General topics.
The goal of the Coast Guard Running Club is to eventually create or field a CG Marathon Team or Cross Country Team that participates under the Coast Guard colors in the Armed Forces Sports program.
Hope this helps!
