Station Golden Gate and the Coast Guard Running Club would like to cordially invite you and your family to celebrate Coast Guard day by enjoying the spectacular view of the Golden Gate Bridge while celebrating our services heritage. This Road Runners Club of America fun run travels from the current station at Fort Baker to the decommissioned Station Fort Point located at Crissy Field in the Presidio. All active duty members, their FRIENDS and FAMILY are welcome to participate. Come celebrate the Coast Guard’s heritage while promoting an active and healthy lifestyle. COURSE: The run is approximately 12K that starts at Station Golden Gate, goes across the Golden Gate Bridge and then down into the Presidio where participants will turn around at Station Fort Point and run back to Station Golden Gate. The 5K fun run will start at Station Golden Gate go up onto the Golden Gate Bridge and turn around approximately 300 yards from the South Tower of the Golden Gate Bridge.
TIMELINE: Both races will start at 1000. All participants should arrive around 0915 to ensure they get parking, sign the waiver, and receive their number.

BBQ and FUN: Everyone is invited to hang around after the run for hot dogs and hamburgers. |
ENTRY: Race Registration is $25 ($26 online), which will include a Coast Guard Heritage run T-shirt and the post run food. All forms and money are due by July 15th. July 20th.
RACE ENTRY CLOSED
The race is limited to the first 150 participants. Download the mail in entry form here, or register online below. Please note, online registrants are one by one, this does not integrate with our store, and online registrants will be required to provide emergency contact information on site in addition to signing the waiver. After July 20th, if there are race spots left, registration will increase to $30 w/out race t-shirt. Club members will have continued $25 entry up to race day through the members only page (still no t-shirt).

RESULTS: Finish line management is being provided by Ford Timing http://www.fordtiming.com/index.html Runners will be chip timed based off a gun start. All runners will get the chip when picking up their number. Volunteers will collect chips once a runner has crossed the finish line and is in the shoot.

RULES:
WAIVER: Prior to the start of the race all participants will be required to sign a waiver before they are issued a number. All participants under the age of 18 will have to have a legal guardian cosign the waiver. STROLLERS: We appreciate the joy of family participation, but we discourage the use of strollers during the event due to potential harm to young children should anything happen. If participating, stroller or baby joggers or similar devices will be started in the back of the runners and walkers. HEADPHONES: To enjoy all that our race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, Coast Guard Heritage Run encourages a headphone-free environment during the running of Coast Guard Heritage Run. REGISTRATION TRANSER & REFUNDS: There will be no refunds issued or race number switching allowed.
