Hood To Coast Movie – Encore

In case you missed it the first go around on 1-11-11, the Hood To Coast movie is airing an Encore.  As a team oriented club, relays (you may have guessed) are kinda our thing.  If you haven’t been a part of one, check this out, it gives good insight into how awesome they can be.  As far as overnight 200 mile (which has become a bench mark for relays lately) relays go, Hood To Coast is probably one of, if not the most famous.  Get a group together, contact your local rep, use the forum to rally some people, or just go on your own.  Of course, if you get really motivated and want to participate there are some D13 members putting together a team.

USCG Director of Athletics

With the recent directors retirement the CGA is in need of direction in the athletics area.  The Vacancy Announcement for the U. S. Coast Guard Academy Director of Athletics and Physical Education position has been posted. It may be accessed at www.uscga.edu/employment-opportunities/dir-athletic and through www.usajobs.gov.  This is a great opportunity to drive the future of CG running – batteries release on referals, send it far and wide.  Just for fun, can you name the CG Running Club member from the photo above?  (here’s a hint – he’s winning)
