L2L Results
It was rainy, the course was confusing, and the bathrooms never got unlocked by Parks and Recreation (not for lack of trying by Seattle – we commend the effort), but 8 teams managed to brave the Viaduct closure and impossible to find exchanges finding their way to Commodore Park and quickly leaving to head together to the West Point Lighthouse. Did everything go perfectly? Absolutely not, but a good time was had by all, even the 4 participants who ran along Elliot Ave, braving the 6 lane traffic crossing to get back on course.

We promise to have more volunteers, more sunshine (well we don’t actually promise that) better prizes and more teams to compete with next year. MFPU with the big unit win this year gets free entry next year and the right to display the coveted L2L trophy at their unit until next year. The other division winners (womens, mixed, and mens) received a TRX Force Kit as well as some home-made cookies and goodies from a local running store.
A few teams, even some that ventured to the lighthouse (good job!) made their way to the post celebration for a quick beer and some refueling in the form of burgers and fries. Pictures from the event can be found by going to our photos link or here: https://picasaweb.google.com/RUNUSCG/L2L2011
